Taiwan-built Perry class frigates: a class of eight ships commissioned between 1993 and 2004. The armament has been augmented by Hsuing Feng 2 and 3 surface-to-surface missiles and a pair of 40mm Bofors guns. Two additional Perry class frigates were purchased from the United States, entering service in 2018.
