Pack includes Short 184 aircraft. Converted to a seaplane carrier from a fast-packet steamer, she entered service Sept.1,1914. Christmas Day, 1914 she and her sister-ship Riviera, and near-sister Empress launched a raid on the Cuxhaven Zeppelin sheds. In 1915 her original canvas hangers were replaced with a heated steel hanger. Following limited action at the battle of Jutland, she remained with the battlecruiser fleet until 1918, then transferred to Malta. At the end of hostilities, she was resold to her former owners. In 1933, she found herself in the Philippines renamed the SS Corregidor. While evacuating refugees she was mined exiting Manila Bay on December 16, 1941, with heavy loss of life.
