Originally a Kidd class destroyer; decommissioned in 1998. Transferred to Taiwan in 2003, the class of four ships was transferred to Taiwan, and commissioned into the Republic of China Navy in 20056. Currently serving, the ships have undergone upgrades to their electronics, ECM, and weapons systems.
