The German 8.8cm gun demonstrated high performance not only as an anti-aircraft gun but also as an anti-tank gun. The 8.8cm gun developed by Krupp in 1928 was formalized as the Flak18, and later improved as the Flak36 based on experience in the Spanish Civil War. Later, Flak37, equipped with a meter-type trajectory calculator, appeared. In World War II, it was mainly deployed by the Air Force, and was also deployed by the Army, demonstrating its effectiveness as an anti-aircraft gun and in anti-tank attacks. It continued to be active until the end of the war.
