Landing Craft Personnel (Large). Manned by a crew of three and capable of transporting 36 personnel at eight knots. A total of 2,193 were produced between 1941 and 1945. Armed with two 30 caliber machine guns at the bow, the boat served with the United States Navy as well as the Royal Navy and Commonwealth forces.
