The M-55S is a Slovenian upgrade of the aging T-55 MBT. Beginning in the 1990s modifications included the addition of reactive armor, enhanced fire control/targeting systems, and the replacement of the 100mm main gun for the British L7 105mm weapon. Placed in storage in 2016, 28 vehicles were handed over to the Ukraine in 2022.
