Qawale is a beautifully simple two-player abstract strategy game inspired by the piles of pebbles found along winding paths. Deceptively quick to learn, it rewards spatial thinking and forward planning in a compact, elegant package.
Each player has 8 pebbles in their colour, with a set of neutral pebbles starting in the four corners. On your turn, place a pebble on top of any stack, then move that stack leaving one pebble behind on each square you cross. The first player to line up four of their own pebbles in a row (viewed from above) wins. The stacking and trail mechanic makes every move feel fresh and unpredictable.
